Tailored price to specific model & condition with sliding scale depending on the retail price when new. We reward our customers for keeping the original boxes, cables etc.
We are green as we recycle as much of our unused products as possible. - What elements of your business are currently running in the cloud?
Inventory management, accounting, google apps, dropbox - Why do you feel it’s important to operate your business in the cloud? What
were the main factors/hesitations to consider in moving your business in
this direction?
Security, by not relying on one device & having to ensure backups. Furthermore, operating in the cloud also enables access & the ability to work from anywhere.
Factors: scalability & ease of use. - What functions/elements of your business are you looking to consider moving into the cloud next? (e.g. CRM, mail etc.)
Our functions are all in the cloud as it stands. The only processes that are not, are associated with inspection of the goods we receive. We are not compromising the quality of inspection of our goods & our green practices around recycling etc. - What are your businesses biggest bottlenecks in your current processes?
Our back end processes of managing the buy & sell which we are trying to optimise at present. - Do you find that you gain extra revenue or saved on costs by running your
business online? If so, what creates the revenue/reduces the expenses
and how have you tracked it?
No capex, only pay as use services & great free products for startups. Google apps.
As we're a online start up it enables no capital costs and minimal operational costs, whilst providing the largest possible market. The internet. - Why do you run your accounting in the cloud, what platform do you use and why?
Xero. It fits with how our business operates & We like real time access to data. - What other products do you link with your online accounting package?
Nothing. We are looking to build our own, watch this space... - Where would you spend $100,000 on your business and what benefits/ROI would you expect to see?
